Which 10 pieces of clothes would you choose from your closet?

When you put that question to a person like the protagonist of today’s post, the answer is an afternoon of laughter and discoveries: an afternoon for getting lost in an immensity of a colour, prints and a closet with a distincntly vintage DNA.

Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf and Lauren Bacall are Seila Sin H’s style and personality references. All of them ladies of another time, like Seila’s closet. When you get into it you forget which year you are in. There’s no sign of the latest trends but there are large doses of personality and many garments inspired by the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.

Seila is crazy about corsetry from the 50’s and every night she carefully chooses what she’s going to wear to go to sleep, including perfumes.

Seila, as a fashion editor of Pearls for the Swine and music stylist of singers like La Mala Rodriguez, Pastora, Sidonie, Nena Daconte, or We are Standard knows what is on the catwalk but what really inspires her is what she sees in the streets of cities like Barcelona.

Cheerful, perfectionist, impulsive, that’s how we see Seila Sin H and her wardrobe.

Lost in Krizia Robustella’s closet

Krizia Robustella

A purple vintage dress with floral print: this is the first piece of clothing that Krizia Robustella picks to show me from her closet, when we meet a few days ago in her store. I never would have imagined that a piece like that would appear in her closet. But I’m not the only one surprised, she is too. Krizia is addicted to casual jackets. Oversized or more tailored, but always open, combined with basic T-shirts, jeans and sneakers.

Krizia knows what she wants, she will always wear sneakers, buy vintage and independent fashion brands and be faithful to her own style. Without the time to go shopping, trips overseas are the perfect occasion. Places like Amsterdam, Paris and Italy are perfect for a shopping afternoon.

Krizia confesses that she usually visits her little sister’s closet: but please, don’t tell anyone.

One of her favorite accessories is a belt with the consonants of her name, KRZ, which she’s had since she was a teenager and heavily influenced by Hip Hop: the type of music playing in each of her catwalk shows.

The designer, who has shown her collections in catwalks like Madrid Cibeles Fashion Week, Vauxhall Fashion Scout London and 080 Barcelona Fashion, has been the first brave individual to show us her closet. After winning both best female and male collection at the latest edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion, today she is going to show her last collection ‘Lick my ice-cream baby’. Good luck Krizia.

Before saying goodbye, one last question.

Me: Have you seen the gray shirt I lost the other day?

Krizia:  No, but I can give you one of mine, choose whichever you want. And Estela please, do me a favour: the other day I lost a jacket I bought in Paris, If you find it, please let me know.
